The page with the board information and pre-registration form is up now.You can find it on the blog menu under “Boards”.There’s also a new section called Oekaki 101 which at the moment has some basic FAQ items but in the future will have some links to tutorials and other resources.
There will be a little reshaping of the update phases.Phase one will be split into two parts that will both be completed by the end of 2013 and phase two will be started in early 2014 when hopefully there will be people registered with the site.
The beta projects won’t be released until late 2013 since some of them will actually be pulled into the DMA project I mentioned in an earlier post.
You’ll be able to see all the changes reflected on the update log and project page.
My progress so far on the Knowledge Base is about halfway and then I’ll go back to the pages.
I’ve also been playing with the Boonex Dolphin Smart Community script.I’m considering migrating the project over to it sometime next year if I get to like it enough since it has a ton of modules that are perfect for the Phase two elements of the project.
Now just as an FYI here’s my tentative project outline:
1.I’m hoping to be done with Phase 1-Part one in April.Once the site is open I want to let it build up a member community before moving on to Phase 1-part 2 later in 2013.
2.Between Part 1 and part 2 I’ll be switching gears to a diferent project and developing the Bloodstone Manor webcomic.
3.Early 2014 Phase 2 will begin.
Also in 2014 I’ll be starting a new Twitter account called the Creative Calendar that will feature daily inspiration photos, projects and ffeatured works from famous artists.
If you haven’t checked out the Deviant Art group it’s linked in the sidebar under Oekaki Artisan’s Club.
Until I’m done with all the typing blog posts will probably be light.I will still be tweeting and of course checking on the oekaki board every few days.
